!ncredible Enough For You? - Dhamekh Stupa - Sarnath, Uttar Pradesh

on Wednesday, March 30, 2011

Located only 10 km north of Varanasi, Sarnath is probably the most sacred place for Buddhists. This is where Gautama Buddha first taught the Dharmachakra or the Wheel of Law in 528 BC, right after his enlightenment. The 5th century AD, 34 m high Dhamekh Stupa is believed to be built on that spot. Buddhist pilgrims from all over the world come here to worship:

I'll leave you with one of my favorite Buddhist quotes: "Thousands of candles can be lighted from a single candle, and the life of the candle will not be shortened. Happiness never decreases by being shared"

DIY Jil Sander market bag

on Friday, March 25, 2011

Only Raf Simons can make a plastic bag the it bag of the season. And he did. I'm seeing the Jil Sander market bags everywhere!
The pattern of this bag is shamefully simple so I thought why not to make my own.
I used some hot pink fabric but I think I'm also going to make one in black leather.
Follow these instructions to make one for yourself.

Lovely Tuesday morning with a cup of hot coffee and current issue of The gentlewoman, painting my nails and listening to Adele. The village of Khajuraho has 22 remaining Hindu and Jain temples. At 31 meters in height, Kandariya Mahadev is the largest of them all. The erotic sculptures covering its walls are still an enigma and provoke a great deal of controversy:

Introducing you a collection by Anu Samarüütel-Long called 'Freehand'.
It's always very interesting to see what's behind the collection and where the inspiration came from. As an example how were the prints on dresses developed from simple graphite drawings and what's the inspiration behind the jewelry line. For all that take a look at Anu's blog - FashionSaboteur
I put together some moodboard-kind-of-things of the collection, which was presented here few weeks ago at Kuldnõel gala. I was also lucky to model for her at the gala, so I could see all the details closely;)

Spamming you with some crappy mobile phone pics but I was simply amazed by a Maison Martin Margiela perfume 'Untitled' display at beauty store. That's exactly how I want my room to look like - clean and entirely white.

Lots of people think that only a woman and a mother can take this kind of pictures of kids. Then they see me and they are confused. Then they look at the photos again and have to accept the facts.
2010 was full of beautiful angels and this is their awesome slide show:

My face may not show it all the time, but I love you all and I think my images proved it once again!
