Aditi's First Fashion Show

on Monday, November 29, 2010

We start off with something for any occasion, from your best friend's lohri party to a day at the mall:
This is if you really want to impress that special somebody:
Bare feet is the new high heels:
A chuni is all you need on those chilly summer evenings:
But not everybody can pull this one off:
So many choices, so little time:
In between dresses. Modelling is a tough job:
Winter is here and it's not going anywhere:
It doesn't mean it can't be fun:
Aditi's family supported her throughout the entire show:
Thank you very much, Aditi!

Sabiha & Salha - Toronto Wedding Concentrate

on Saturday, November 27, 2010

After three weddings with the Moloo girls this year, I really feel like I'm part of the family! You have already seen Natasha's wedding on the shores of the Arabian Sea. Sabiha and Salha got married in Toronto and I want to show you a few images from their big days. Due to weather conditions I won't be able to tell you a story, like I use to, but I hope you'll enjoy the mini selection I put together.
Sabiha & Yusuf - 5 June 2010 - Toronto:

Salha & Zaheed - 23 October 2010 - Toronto:
Congratulations guys! Thank you so much for inviting us to your weddings! Too bad there's no more Moloo sisters left, now that I got used with the place and the people. We miss you!

DIY bracelet tutorial.

on Wednesday, November 24, 2010

As many of you asked I decided to write a tutorial for making DIY plumbing supplies bracelets you saw in the last post. It's not the best but i hope can you understand;  ) It's actually quite easy to make them.

You need:
a leather belt with buckle, brass plumbing supplies (compression nuts, fittings etc.), scissors.

*Take a old leather belt which is narrow enough to go through the nuts.
*Mix and match some different compression nuts and brass fittings.
*Make a extra hole in the belt to fasten it around your hand.
*Cut away the longer part of belt or leave it and wrap around your hand like I did.

Dubai - Back to the Future

The world's most luxurious hotel and the symbol of Dubai - Burj Al Arab:
321 meters in height.
Burj Al Arab - the main lobby:
There's a reception desk on every floor.
Burj Al Arab - Al Muntaha, The Sky View Bar:
Burj Al Arab - Al Mahara, the underwater restaurant:
At 828 meters, Burj Khalifa is the tallest building in the world and has the highest number of stories - more than 160:
This guy doesn't seem very impressed about all those records:

Parking space really is a problem in Dubai:

Dubai Creek is constantly crossed by abras:
Floating restaurants light up at dusk:
Dora building in Dubai Marina:
Jumeirah Mosque (masjid in Arabic) at dawn:
The place, like the entire city, is kept very clean:
I hope you enjoyed this short trip to Dubai, United Arab Emirates! I'll make sure to bring more pictures from my next trip!
